TP-05B High-Performance Bicycle & E-Bike Disc Brake Pads

Restore maximum stopping confidence with TP-05B Disc Brake Pads. Specially formulated for demanding users, cross-country riding, and high-speed e-mobility, these pads feature a distinctive top-mount eyelet backing plate that delivers exceptional heat resistance, quiet modulation, and consistent all-weather performance.

Compatible Brake Calipers & E-Bike Models

  • Formula Hydraulic Brake Systems: Standardized fitment for Formula 2-piston systems, including Formula Mega, Formula The One, Formula R1, Formula RO, Formula RX, Formula T1, Formula C1, and Formula Cura 2-Piston.

  • E-Bikes & E-Scooters: Fits high-performance e-bikes, conversion builds, and heavy-duty electric scooters equipped with Formula or Formula-style hydraulic disc brake calipers (such as select models from Kukirin, Haibike, Ghost, and Cube e-bikes).

  • Mountain & Cross-Country Bikes: Ideal for XC, trail, and downhill mountain bikes using Formula disc brake systems requiring high thermal stability.

Key Features & Specifications

  • Off-Road & All-Weather Ready: Engineered with low thermal attenuation to resist brake fade under sustained downhill braking and steep descents.

  • Durability Options: Formulated to protect disc rotors from premature scoring while ensuring reliable initial bite in wet, dry, or muddy conditions.

  • Exact Fit Standard: Built to standard TP-05B / Formula dimensions (approx. 28.1 mm x 33.1 mm).

  • Complete Kit: Includes 1x Pair (2 pads) of TP-05B disc brake pads and 1x heavy-duty stainless steel retaining spring.

Installation & Maintenance Guidance

  1. Remove the wheel to gain unhindered access to the brake caliper assembly.

  2. Remove the securing pin or screw, retract the caliper pistons using a piston press tool, and slide out the worn pads.

  3. Thoroughly clean the caliper body and disc rotor with a specialized brake cleaner before installing the new pads; avoid touching the friction material with bare fingers.

  4. Insert the new TP-04B pads with the retaining spring, re-secure the pin, and verify free wheel movement.

  5. Bed-In Note: Braking force will naturally feel lighter during the first few stop-and-go cycles until the pads fully bed in with the rotor surface.
